On August 1st, shelters across America are going to begin working harder than ever to increase their adoption numbers. They will be racing to win The 2012 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge, a grant that will help them sustain and increase their ability and efforts to save the lives of animals who are lost, abandoned, neglected, or otherwise in need.
You can follow them on their @ASPCALive Twitter account, using the hash-tag#100KChallenge. Or visit their events page and see what’s happening, and learn what you can do to help.
Anything that helps these poor animals is fine by me, and these increased efforts are sure to pay off for many dogs and cats across the USA.
